West One is headed by Neil Lofting, a chartered building surveyor with over 15 years’
experience at the sharp end of surveying in both commercial and residential properties.
Throughout his time as a senior surveyor in various firms, Neil grew tired of not
being able to provide the service that he felt his clients deserved. Time and again,
he felt hampered by the need to balance clients’ needs with those of the insurers
and in-house loss adjusters.
So, in April 2011 West One was born, completely independent, with the aim of providing
unparalleled professional advice to service our clients’ needs – and no-one else's.
Independence is at our core, and enables us to put our clients’ interests first without
hidden agendas or the need to juggle the interests of different parties at the same
