Welcome to the website of West One, Chartered Building Surveyors. At West One we undertake a number of key services to benefit all aspects of our client’s property purchasing and ownership, but we specialise in building defects diagnosis and the reinstatement of properties, both residential and commercial following insurance claim events. We are also able to undertake general building surveys, dilapidations and expert services.
At West One, we have extensive experience in all building advice matters and have worked on buildings ranging from 14th century medieval properties right up to buildings still under construction.

We specialise in insurance claims, acting for you the home / business owner. Our experience of claims ranges from £30000 escape of water claims to £2.5m industrial fires to £5.0m hotel fires and pretty much everything in between.

We regularly act for both building and adjoining owners in respect of party wall matters and are fully versed in the procedures of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 with over 40 years combined experience
Building Defects
We specialise in building failures. So if you issue is movement, damp, condensation or other building defect, we can inspect and report on the issues, why they have occurred and what needs to be done in repair.
